Phanar lawyers do not have an hourly charge-out rate (not even on a notional basis) as Phanar’s pricing model is based on a very simple monthly fixed and retainer pricing model. This provides the benefit of budget certainty for our clients whilst allowing us to manage our own cashflows and therefore lower our own costs of delivery as well as administrative burden.
Our highly competitive fixed price model is made possible because Phanar does not carry the high fixed costs of associates with chargeable hours’ targets nor do we carry high fixed infrastructure, back office and support services costs of our competitors. We service the needs of clients on larger transactions by outsourcing “bulk work” or “commodity work” such as due diligence, disclosure, verification in corporate deals or monitoring of conditions precedent in finance deals, to high quality providers who form part of the Phanar ecosystem.
